FAQ
  • What is an RDN?
The Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential is a board-certification given to food and nutrition experts that have extensive education and training in their field, and have met the requisite criteria for obtaining this licensure: Graduate degree from an accredited program, at least 1000 hours of supervised experiential learning (dietetic internship), and successfully passed the CDR exam. In addition, maintaining the RDN credential requires the completion of continuing education units so that credentialed individuals stay up to date on the latest nutrition research. Anyone can call themselves a “Health Coach”, but when you work with a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, you are getting cutting edge, evidence-based and most importantly safe and accurate nutrition guidance.
  • Do you take insurance?
If you have a referral to see a nutritionist from your health care provider, you can book sessions with me through the Fay platform: https://www.faynutrition.com/dietitians/sheba-bergman-golden Please note that the extent of insurance coverage for medical nutrition therapy depends on your provider and specific insurance plan. I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and licensed in the State of New York. My NPI is 1598580763.
  • What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credits cards.
  • I am not sure which service would be best for me - what do you recommend?
If you are not sure what would be the best fit for your needs, I recommend scheduling a free 15 minute call with me so we can discuss what would be the best option for you.
  • Do you work with kids?
Yes! Depending on the particular situation, a supervising adult may need to be present for the sessions.
  • What is the best diet to follow?
At Collage Health and Wellness, we believe that true change comes from developing a sustainable lifestyle, not following a quick-fix "diet". We work with each individual to develop and sustain new habits that fit within their situation and circumstances to achieve meaningful and long-term change.
  • How many sessions should I sign up for?
How many sessions are needed to achieve goals varies depending on the person and their specific situation. I do recommend signing up for a minimum of four sessions as lasting behavioral change does require the formation of new habits, and research shows that on average, it takes 66 days [1].
